Fuck the Opera Web Browser

I am absolutely fucking sick of Opera's repeated and continual errors, memory mismanagement, and personality. It chokes several times a week when all I do is simple web browsing. News sites, MySpace, etc. all throw monkey wrenches into what I must assume are the rotten guts of this poorly-coded program.

And I just lost the last 20 minutes of work on my next post. Not for the first time.

I've got version 7.51 right now and it is the LAST version of Opera I will use.

If anyone from Opera reads this, you guys better fucking fix this shit. You once had a great piece of software and now it's crap. With Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Winamp, and a slew of business-required toolbar applications running, Opera will always be the single greatest memory leech, often reaching deeper than 50 megabytes into my RAM after an hour of browsing...and there's only one damn page of HTML to display. The bastard crashes so often it's become habitual to Control + C everything I type into message boxes just to make sure I don't loose it when the fucker shits itself.

And of course, I didn't remember to do that when the sonofabitch blew a gasket and pissed off WindowsXP again a few minutes ago. See this screenshot for the message. Which reminds me of another thing to complain about: USELESS FUCKING ERROR MESSAGES THAT DO NOTHING TO HELP THE USER TO UNDERSTAND THE FUCKING PROBLEM. Christ.

Fuck you Opera. I'm done dealing with your bullshit.

I've been using Opera for quite a while, and, though it sometimes gives me a hassle if I want to watch videos, error messages are rare. I suppose this must mean that Opera's success rate is a function of the awesomeness of its user.

I recommend Firefox as well. Sometimes it loads pictures on websites slowly, but otherwise it's good.

Erik's opinion can be discounted on many levels, but the most important is his age. Sorry dude, but I only seriously listen to folks older than my sisters. :(

Opera is a piece of shit, agreed.

What ticks me off most about it is its incapability to render html pages correctly. From a web developers point of view this makes life ten times as difficult as it is supposed to be. Validated CSS and HTML 4.01 (strict) code displays perfectly on Mozilla and IE, yet Opera manages to fuck it up.

I would be very happy if people stopped using it.

Just found this site while entering "fuck Opera" into Google. :)
Did this because it is probably the worst browser in the world. As a webdeveloper, i had to stop being considerate of Opera, because sometimes you'd have to write a new html-code from scratch to fix display bugs. Or, at least, to try to fix them.

Seather wrote "this makes life ten times as difficult as it is supposed to be". Extremely well said!

However, it "helps" a bit to see you guys having similar problems.
Lets do us all a favor for each other and use foxy Firefox!

wow i just wanted to see how opera looked and felt. and this is the third page i went to after typing "fuck opera" in google. from an asthetic stand point this is the worst browser i have used since neoplanet. btw Firefox rules and i wouldn't have used oper much anyway.

I agree! I typed fuck opera in google and here we are. Damn thing keeps freezing and I'd have to close it in task mgr all the time. WHY THE HELL DOES IT KEEP FREEZING!? EVERYTHING ELSE RUNS FINE ON MY SYSTEM BUT OPERA.

Fuck Opera browser, It nearly ended me with poor grades. I uploaded the file and it never responded,,,fucking browser i have ever used in my life.I willnever use it again.

I had a bunch of high quality websites loaded and tons of movies loaded, then for no fucking reason Opera crashed, all downloads gone and since several gigs of my download usage wasted. The piece of shit doesn't even allow you to recover temporary files like IE6. FUCK OPERA.

This page definitely served its purpose and made me feel better about my raging hatred for bullshit. (Opera 9.64/Linux)

With all due respect, opera mobile isn't so bad on wm6.1 though...
