Not an April Fool's Joke
Sometime today, I will pass 100,000 website visits on my Sitemeter counter. As of this writing, I'm 25 hits away.
I realize that a significant portion of that traffic came from the Internet furor surrounding the Governor Rick Perry non-scandal. But looking at the long-term stats, things have gone nowhere but up. Even better, the number of referrers showing up as "unknown" - meaning, they most likely accessed drizzten.com through a bookmark or shortcut - has greatly increased. For that, regular readers, I am grateful.
I have no idea what's in store for myself, this website, and the issues I follow over the next year. That's part of the reason why this is so fun.

The blogs with the most traffic on their sites that I'm blogrolled on are http://samizdata.net/blog and http://www.highclearing.com/ and both are two of the bigger names in the libertarian blog world. Other capitalist luminaries include http://blog.light-of-reason.com/ and http://www.catallarchy.net/blog/
As for an actual link in a post to my place, Instapundit, Samizdata, BurntOrangeReport, and Catallarchy have all hit me up as well as a few others that fly under the mainstream radar.
Not much activity on Wired Rants, dude. Directing your energies elsewhere?

Yeh, I suppose everything I ever have to say, either goes to a post on animeboards.com or into an entry at penguin_ken @ livejournal.
To be honest I don't like writing down things like that. I do for history's sake, so that I can see what I truely felt and thought in the years to come. But overall, a lot of what I say is neither pleasant to read, nor pleasing to write. I prefer not to commit such petty and negative things to permanancy. I've so much reading to do before I write.
