Conferencing

I'll be busy at the TASB Risk Management Member's Conference until Wednesday. I'm the A/V Guy again, so if anyone happens to be touring the Austin Marriott downtown on Monday and Tuesday, I'll be the annoyed-looking dude running around, packhorsing a few dozen pounds of LCD projector and laptop gear.

Hopefully, this year's socializing won't lead down the path it did last year.

I'll try to stop in and prune the pr0n and drug spam from the comments once a day.

UPDATE(4/20/2004 1:33pm)
I'm back, but I have the rest of the day off. Happy 4-20!

I see the Viggo Mortensen fanperson(read: cock-jockey) assaults your page again, along with advertisements to make people bigger cocks to jockey.

Do you have any means of blocking those spams or do you just have to suffer through deleting them when they deluge you?

Moveable Type has version 3 coming out in a few months and it includes anti-comment spam measures built in. There are aftermarket hacks to the code I could install, as well as a few things on the server side, but haven't gotten around to them.

So I have to deal with them individually and manually as they come. It's a pisser, but until I have Net access at home, I don't want to tinker with deep code.

I reserve the right to delete any comment I wish as this is my property you are commenting upon, but I'm pretty laid-back so it isn't likely to happen unless you are some psycho idiot jerk. Oh, and unless you have my permission to promote your good or service, you are wasting your time: unsolicited advertisements will result in comment deletion and URL banning. This blog ain't for you spammers or the crap you want to sell.
