The State of Being Concise

Jim Henley, whom with I disagree on the subject of war in Iraq, says the following in a post discussing an AP article about the new Iraqi governing council:

I should grant that the question of how essential national sovereignty is to personal liberty is a vexed question for libertarians. The latter is what matters; the former is, like anything else government does, only of value to the extent it enables the latter.

That's a nice way of putting it.

Also of great reading is his dissection of several Max Sawicky items.
