I once asked my readers to not forget Mr. Blair's party background. Through a Two--Four post, I've discovered evidence of Mr. Blair's choice of associations.
He's a Vice-President of the Socialist International.

Well, social democrat may be more apt, because he can say some things a socialist would choke on. His speech to the US Congress last week contains some things which would sicken true leftists. His vocal support for human liberty is of course tempered by his love of the state, which requires a sustained reduction in human liberty in order to survive and have the ability to interfere in human affairs.

I lived and worked in Europe for some time. I can tell you that all Europe is Socialist, but with an democratic basis. That contrasts with the US, which is Capitalist, with a marginal democractic basis. This is what produces the disparity of views and state function. There are strengths and weaknesses in both. Anarchism is a childish way of wishing to scatter the playschool blocks and calling it a way of playing. Do something constructive! An anarchy only means that I or you or someone esle could drive up to someone's home, kill them and take over their property, holding remaining family as slaves and no one could do anything about it if the defender of the family couldn't. We do need some order and government, and I cannot leave it to people who become so upset that their bread went moldy! Now- realize that the next step from anarchy is feudalism. That has already had its day! Perhaps what we really need is a renewed, AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT. Start with your diet and use of logic.
