I never watched the Dune miniseries, but I have seen the movie and read the book the movie was based off of. Very entertaining. I'm sure Frank Herbert's fans will pass their judgement on it all, but what caught my attention was this bit:
Children of Dune features many of the original cast and crew from the first miniseries, with Susan Sarandon joining the ensemble in her career debut as a villain, the network announced. The sequel continues the story of the Atreides family 12 years after Paul Muad'Dib (Alec Newman) freed Dune from the control of the evil House Harkonnen and brought water to the desert planet.

Most people drive unlicensed on private property anyways. Police arent allowed on it so there's no way to get in trouble and any accidents...well that's life.
Actually now that I think about it.. a car license IS just for public roads. Lots of Australian kids drive around on parents properties quite openly without a problem. They arent endangering anyone. Shooting however is something done a little less openly but not much less. How was the libertarian meeting thing?
Posted by: Ken on January 9, 2003 01:36 AMI was a jackass and didn't find the location in time. I had to go grocery shopping right after work and the meeting was at 6:45, only an hour and forty-five minutes after I got off work. I'd never driven out where the meeting was held...so all this combined to make me too late to just walk in and sit down. Maybe next time.
