North Korea Whips It Out

Kim Jong Il "stuns" the world with a nuclear admission

Interestingly enough, this is not anything new. What's truely surprising are the "Oh My!" exclaimations from other nations. Are they really that ignorant? Do we really need to be pseudo-comforted by the spin they're putting on this...that it's unexpected and therefore not necessarily their fault for not doing something about ti sooner?

It seems the Bush Administration will follow a purely diplomatic route for the moment, which is being described as a "flurry." Unfortunately, those with the most to loose have made calls for continued engagement as opposed to a more aggressively firm stance.

I agree with Tacitus (via Glenn) the danger this poses.
